SOC Engineer – £60,000 – Hybrid / London

In this advert, I’ll attempt to help you understand how career defining this position could be for you. I’ll start with the fact this is a £10million Network/Security business who are about to build out their internal SOC to become a MSSP.

You’ll be their first hire, meaning you will be able to influence technical strategy, product development, technical roadmaps and team building with the plan to make you “Head of” once you’ve established yourself and your future team

Their plan is to double technology revenue from £10mil to £20mil in 4 years and the sole focus on them doing that is this SOC/MSSP strategy – imagine the job satisfaction/career trajectory for you once you’ve been on this journey?!

Responsibilities/Requirements:

• Knowledge of various security methodologies, technical security solutions and associated management processes


• Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft 365 Defender XDR.


• Understanding of Fortinet Security products would be an added benefit


• Monitor security alerts and events to identify potential security incidents.


• Lead and Manage security Incidents whilst proactively searching for threats and vulnerabilities


• Act as the primary point of contact and provide regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders


• Develop and implement automation scripts and playbooks


• Be on the front foot with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.


• Engage with clients as part of their onboarding


• Incident response Preparedness


• Two days a week in London office (Monday being one of the essential days)
