How to get feedback as a contractor
As a contractor, you need to be a self-starter who can promote their profile to different businesses.
To do this, you need to receive feedback from the interview process.
Our Contract Team Lead Lee Barham talks us through how Cloud & IT Infrastructure contractors should ask for feedback:
“Obtaining feedback for contractors post interview, whether that be positive or negative, and delivering that feedback to the candidate is vital.
For the candidate, it shows them that their recruiter is in control of the relationship between them and the client and that you have their best interests at heart.
There’s nothing more frustrating than a candidate going into an interview stage and then the end-client goes quiet, leaving the candidate to feel dejected, go offline and ultimately miss out on the opportunity.
In addition, feeding back to the client is also just as important as it will help them to improve their internal processes.
Ultimately feedback is a two way street between the client and the candidate is an integral part of the recruitment process.
As a contractor, the best way to receive feedback is through your recruiter.
Here at InfraView we pride ourselves on our detailed feedback enjoyed by all our represented candidates, keeping you up to date with the recruitment process every step of the way.
If you’re working direct with an employer, simply picking up the phone should get you the feedback you’re looking for. Good companies will be able to set a time with you to offer feedback, talk about the process and if you’re unsuccessful at this time why that is the case.”
