The Role
With 200 employees, Cisilion operates from two central locations in the UK, London Heron Tower and Leatherhead, Surrey. It adopts a hybrid work policy, with the majority of users working either from our offices or other remote locations. Our Leatherhead office is also home to our 24x7 service desk, which supports our maintenance, support, and managed service customers.
As we continue to grow and invest in new technology solutions to enable our growth further, we require an IT Manager to take responsibility for our internal IT systems and line management and development of our internal IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and supporting our networks and services, as well as leading the team in supporting our colleagues' day-to-day IT needs. You will ensure appropriate security, governance, compliance and business continuity levels.
You will have experience managing a hybrid IT environment, with specific expertise and demonstrable practical experience in deploying, configuring and managing Cisco Meraki wired and wireless network and security infrastructures, Cisco Secure Firewall and Secure Client VPN, Microsoft 365, Teams and Azure, and other key platforms used for the business. As the internal IT lead, you will manage a small team of IT support engineers and administrators. You must be an excellent, patient communicator who can talk to colleagues of all levels and abilities.
You will be able to work under pressure, be flexible and have a proven ability to manage multiple internal projects simultaneously. Collaborating closely with business stakeholders and executives, you will play a crucial role in defining our Internal IT strategy, identifying and driving opportunities for organisational growth and development, and maximising ROI in our technology.

Candidate Profile • As IT Manager for a technology business, you should have a passion for technology and the role. This is a “hands-
on” IT Management position.
• A strong technical foundation in information technology, including knowledge of systems, networks, software, hardware, and emerging technologies, is crucial.
• Excellent leadership skills to guide and motivate your team, able to delegate tasks effectively, and provide direction for IT projects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working closely with team members, executives, stakeholders, managed services teams and professional services consultants, and conveying technical information to non- technical individuals.
• Ability to align IT strategies with business goals, anticipate future needs, and make informed decisions to support our growth objectives and maintain Cisilion’s Internal Network to a modern standard.
Key Tasks Main Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver our internal IT strategy, including but not limited to platforms, security, and compliance, in line with our IT governance policy.
• Develop and implement IT policies and best practices to ensure security, efficiency, and business continuity.
• Management of IT staff, including hiring, development, evaluation, and guidance.
• Manage and monitor the performance of our IT systems to determine cost and productivity levels and make recommendations for improving IT provision.
• Responsible for Internal on-site and remote support project delivery activities for our managed desktop, server, virtualisation, storage, backup, voice, and network solutions.
• Responding to alerts and actions from our monitoring platforms and responding, logging tickets, triaging and escalating, as necessary.
• Manage the IT budget and understand IT spending across the environment.
• Cybersecurity and risk management - implement, manage and monitor advanced security tools and protocols, develop disaster recovery plans, and monitor for vulnerabilities.
• Experience and knowledge in key technologies such as Cisco Meraki wired and wireless services, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco DUO, ZTNA, Cisco Secure Firewall (Firepower) and associated management, Cisco WebEx, Palo Alto Firewalls, and M365 (in particular, Intune, Active Directory, Autopilot, and Teams as examples).
• Experience and knowledge in Microsoft Teams based meeting room solutions.
• Experience and knowledge of Power Platform (or similar), including SharePoint administration.
• Overall responsibility for Cisilion's internal IT network and how to best keep up with modern technologies to serve Cisilion staff, leveraging demos for clients.
Other Responsibilities: • Ownership and development of our join, move and leave (JML) process.
• Management of guest access policies and experience.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and meet their technology needs.
• In conjunction with the training department, assist in developing user education programmes for new systems

or changes in configuration.
• Will be familiar with the systems and policies to deal with client requests on IT policy.
• Vendor and Stakeholder management.
• IT policy development and adoption.
• Change Board Leadership.
Knowledge & Experience • At least five years in a similar role, including previous experience of managing, leading and developing teams.
• Passionate about providing outstanding customer experience and support, able to show empathy, compassion, and diplomacy.
• Ability to take ownership and responsibility of tasks and projects.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent people management skills.
• Ability to produce regular, meaningful reports against agreed KPIs.
• At least three years' experience managing and administrating Cisco and Cisco Meraki networking.
• At least three years' experience in Active Directory and Windows user identity management, Intune, Autopilot, SharePoint and Power Platforms.
• At least three years' experience in Exchange Server and Exchange Online.
• Current M365 and Microsoft Azure accreditations at a fundamentals level or higher.
• Experience with troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques such as packet captures, remote desktop assistance, log / file/alert analysis etc.
• Experience with Azure, Azure Active Directory and Azure AD Connect.
• Experience with Windows endpoint management, including Intune, Autopilot and Defender.
• Previous experience and a good understanding of License compliance management
• A good practical knowledge of modern unified communications including Microsoft Teams and Webex.
• A strong working knowledge of compliance, security, governance and cost management around Microsoft and Cisco.
• General understanding in Cyber Essentials +, ITIL, Insider Risk and GDPR.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of Microsoft 365 Modern Workspace and tooling.
• Experience in administering Cisco Secure Firewalls and Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Experience in administering the Cisco Identity Services Engine, including maintenance and policy creation.
• Experience in administering Broadcom VMware ESXi platforms.
• Expert documentation skills and holding the department to that same high standard of expectations.
• Experience in migrating on-prem to the cloud and what that journey entails.
• Understanding finance and CRM systems such as NetSuite would be an advantage but not essential.
