Principal Azure Support Engineer – Azure, Bash, Python - £75,000-£80,000 – Manchester / London

This is an amazing opportunity to join the Leading Solutions provider and join a fast-growing area of their business. You will bridge the gap between Professional and Managed Services on all things Azure. Architects, Consultants, and Support Engineers will be consulting with you for help or advice.Once the service desk has reached the edge of their Technical skills, you will be the person they reach to for help, you will deliver small projects alongside the final escalation enquires. You will be responsible for the coding in both Bash and Python, so expertise in both is required.This role comes with a clear route into consultancy and architecture should you choose that, or you can work with this team and help it to grow and build something special within the business.Candidates MUST have or be eligible to gain SC clearance upon hire.

Key skills:•    Expert level Azure technical knowledge•    Experienced working on complex Azure incidents in an MSP environment•    Bash & Python coding ability•    Experience with IAC - Terraform, GitHub Enterprise•    Microsoft certs – Azure Solutions Architect Expert beneficial 

This is a crucial hire for the business and there will be more to follow as the Azure work is increasing. You will be working alongside a team of 20plus who will be working on identical issues across AWS and M365. Loads of training and development – as many certs as you want. 

Duties:•    Ensure that complex Microsoft Azure incidents, changes, service requests and problem records are progressed through to resolution•    Act as an escalation point within the team from a technical perspective.•    Work alongside our DevOps and service delivery team to ensure high level of support.•    Attend the Change Advisory Board (CAB), problem review, and service improvement meetings•    Work alongside the Cloud Operations team to cover high-priority requests out of hours via an on-call rota.•    Work on small projects to alleviate them from the PS team.
